This vibrant outdoor market is a perfect spot for family outings, complete with free entry and parking.

Heavy rainfall caused the river to overflow, leading to significant flooding in Kerr County. Streets in downtown Kerrville transformed into impromptu canals, offering an eerie glimpse of a submerged cityscape. This aquatic transformation was reminiscent of past flooding events, underscoring the river’s formidable strength.

Danger Lurks in Beauty

While the sight of a swollen river carving new paths through the Texas terrain was awe-inspiring, it came with a hefty price. The National Weather Service issued dire warnings, describing the flooding as “dangerous and life-threatening.” In New Braunfels, the river became a liquid menace, threatening residential areas and turning once-bustling riverside camps into watery ghost towns. Emergency services were on high alert, and residents were advised to stay informed and heed evacuation orders.
